Presentation

After nearly 30 years of experience in the psycho-medico-social domain, where I have first trained in systemic family therapy, I have completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master in Advanced Child Protection. In this way, I have a long experience in family work at home.

Experience

  • at the “Service polyvalent de secteur” (a general social agency)
  • at the “Service Aide familiale” (a family help agency)
  • at a foster care agency
  • at the Ministry of National Education, at the « Education Différenciée » with families with children with mental or physical disabilities or children who display behaviour problems.
  • An enriching experience as a replacement teacher at the primary school has shown me the difficulties encountered by the pupils, the teachers as well as the parents from the teacher’s point of view, which has completed my experience as a pupil and as a pupil’s parent.
  • During the last 6 years, I have worked as a home based social worker at the agency « famillesPlus » offering psychological, social and educational assistance for the « Office National de l’Enfance ».
From 1992 to 2003 and again from 2018, I am a Committee member of the asbl Pärdsatelier organising the « Liewenshaff », a training centre for young people displaying behaviour problems.
I am trained in systemic family therapy since 2004. This approach has been a milestone in my thinking showing how the individual person is influenced by his different systems (family, school, work, couple).
